When using either Bluetooth earbuds or wired earbuds with a microphone the record volume is low even with the record volume slider all the way up. Thought if I could use an external microphone connected to my phone that might help. Any ideas?

The recording is actually using the mic on your phone, regardless of headset! I finally figured this out when I was recording and walked into another room 😅

Hi Steve - yeah, Jenni's right, it does use the internal mic. Depending on your phone model, it might help to bring the phone up pretty close to your mouth, and locate what end of the phone your mic is at. iPhone's mic is usually at the bottom, but it varies for Android.
Also, just a note that there is now a Mac version of PartPerfect (PartPerfect XL) that does allow for external mics.
