When using either Bluetooth earbuds or wired earbuds with a microphone the record volume is low even with the record volume slider all the way up. Thought if I could use an external microphone connected to my phone that might help. Any ideas?

The recording is actually using the mic on your phone, regardless of headset! I finally figured this out when I was recording and walked into another room 😅

Hi Steve - yeah, Jenni's right, it does use the internal mic. Depending on your phone model, it might help to bring the phone up pretty close to your mouth, and locate what end of the phone your mic is at. iPhone's mic is usually at the bottom, but it varies for Android.
Also, just a note that there is now a Mac version of PartPerfect (PartPerfect XL) that does allow for external mics.
Recording for me is also very low. I tried the boost to no avail. For me this app isnt ready for prime time.
Hi Clem - sorry you are having trouble recording. Can you hear the recording of your voice at all, or is it like it's not recording anything. Just checking that you gave permission for PartPerfect to use your microphone, when the phone launches? If not, try quitting and launching again. If this isn't the issue - can you please tell me what phone model you are using? Thanks.
sensingof the headphones is intermittent. I have to unplug, close the app and restart. I have the microphone on full boost . I have a Samsung phone. All work in other apps.

PartPerfect uses the microphone in your phone. For that issue, please check that you do not have a case that obstructs the microphone, and that you hold the phone about a fist away from your face when you record. Can you let me know what model of Samsung you are using? I will send you some additional troubleshooting steps via email:
For the headphones issue - is it working OK in other apps? Also, make sure that the blue track volume slider is up at least half way or more. Also make sure that the volume on your phone is up and silent is off.

Headphones seem to be working better. I have a voice recorder on my phone that works well with the phone mic. I have set all volume levels. I have to sing 0.1" from the microphone to make it work
